1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all digital products and services sold under the Rails App brand and processed through Paddle as Merchant of Record.

Rails App provides digital software products delivered electronically, usually with immediate access after purchase.

This policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection laws and Paddle's Buyer Terms.

2. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

If you are purchasing as a Consumer, you benefit from a 14-day right of withdrawal, starting from the day after the completion of your purchase, without having to provide any reason.

3. Digital Products and Immediate Access

Rails App products are digital and are generally made available immediately after purchase.

By completing your purchase, you expressly:

  • consent to the immediate delivery of digital content, and
  • acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may be lost once access, download, or use of the product has begun, in accordance with applicable law.

This does not affect your rights in cases where the product is defective, not as described, or technically unusable.

4. Refund Processing

When a refund request is valid and approved:

  • the refund will be processed without undue delay, and
  • no later than 14 days after receipt of the refund request.

Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

5. Subscriptions (If Applicable)

For subscription-based products:

  • the 14-day right of withdrawal applies only to the initial subscription purchase,
  • no refunds are issued for unused subscription periods after renewal.

6. Fraud and Abuse Prevention

Refund requests may be refused in cases of:

  • proven fraud,
  • abuse of the refund system,
  • repeated or manipulative refund behavior,
  • in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms.

This does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

7. Chargebacks

If you do not recognize a charge or experience an issue with your purchase, please contact us before initiating a chargeback.

Unjustified or abusive chargebacks may result in:

  • suspension of access,
  • termination of services,
  • as permitted by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
